HealthInsight Management Corporation, HealthInsight Oregon and Q Corp have approved an agreement for Q Corp to merge with HealthInsight. Board approval of the merger follows six months of joint exploration as part of a strategic partnership development contract, announced last August. Over the next six months, our organizational leaders will work together to finalize a governance and leadership plan, realign corporate structure and staffing, and finalize integration. Mylia Christensen will continue to serve as executive director of both Q Corp and HealthInsight Oregon.
Our organizations have been partners in health care quality improvement initiatives nationally and in Oregon for a number of years. Individually, we have significant strengths and a long history of working with partners in our respective communities. We believe this new relationship will enable us to achieve the following mutual goals:
- Transforming health care to achieve better health, higher quality health care and greater affordability
- Leveraging our respective community efforts to achieve broader reach and engagement, and to produce Triple Aim results as efficiently as possible in Oregon and across the four-state HealthInsight region
- Seeking mutual funding opportunities to plan, organize and execute new programs and services that deliver desired outcomes, including the formation of a new department focusing on QI innovation
- Conducting our respective operations in the most effective and efficient way possible to avoid competition, redundancy and higher operational costs
Q Corp has a 17-year history working with health care stakeholders in Oregon, including providers, payers, employers, consumers, CMS, the State of Oregon and policymakers; our existing community partnerships and contractual relationships with clients will remain in place and continue as before.
