As an independent nonprofit organization, the Oregon Health Care Quality Corporation brings stakeholders together to produce transparent information about the quality and utilization of health care in Oregon. Our goal is to be a trusted community resource for unbiased health care information.
Quality Measurement & Public Reporting
Creating a single source of data about primary care quality is an essential building block to reforming our health care system. To align providers, health plans, purchasers and patients in a market that produces better outcomes, we must have meaningful, apples-to-apples comparisons about the quality of care that is provided at the clinic level across all payers. Quality Corp has been able to achieve what no one else could: bring key health care stakeholders to the same table to work collaboratively. This collaboration has led to the development of these unique resources in Oregon:
- The most accurate and comprehensive directory of primary care practitioners in the state
- A secure, private website providing data that doctors can use to evaluate their care
- A website for patients and consumers that provides tips on getting quality care and allows them to compare the quality of care in hospitals and doctors’ offices in Oregon
Three rounds of quality measurement reports have already been delivered to providers. View a sample report here.
Quality scores for doctor’s offices and hospitals are publicly available at www.PartnerForQualityCare.org.
This work builds on Quality Corp’s experience with the Chronic Disease Data Clearinghouse.
Measures of Quality
The Measurement and Reporting Team is a multi-stakeholder advisory group composed of providers, health insurers, employers, consumers, policy makers and other experts on health care quality and cost issues. The Team works within the framework of the Quality Corp Mission and Vision statements, ensuring the production of transparent data and analytics that are highly valued and actionable to improve the health outcomes of Oregonians. The Team provides guidance to Quality Corp regarding measurement and reporting activity based on national and state priorities.
